Currently, we run three courses for seniors, 3 language courses (with a cultural program) for children living in rural areas of the region, and additionally, we organize literary-musical performances at the Municipal Cultural Center, also working with a Village Culture House close to Nowy Sącz.
Germana Esperanto-Centro - Filio de GEA por Klerigado kaj Kulturo (ICH/GEC, Herzberg am Harz - la Esperanto-urbo, Germanio)
The Independent Educational and Cultural Centre of the German Esperanto Association acts as the Intercultural Center Herzberg in cooperation with other public organizations with similar statuary goals. The Centre is situated in Herzberg am Harz, the Esperanto town, where we are true partners of municipal authorities in building a model town of intercultural dialogue. The residents of Herzberg are an ethnic mix of immigrants from Turkey, Greece, Albania, Russia, the former Yugoslavia, Romania, etc. Through the organization and participation in the city's intercultural events, we cooperate well with each other, carefully follow all efforts related to the care of cultures and traditions and are partners in local, regional and cross-border projects.
The trainers of the center engage with the city's educational and cultural institutions, offer organization of further training sessions, professional seminars, conferences, congresses, assistance in international cultural exchanges for both the young and the elderly. They also take care of the training and professional development of teachers for the needs of the European Esperanto movement. At the same time, the Center accepts trainees and volunteers from other countries and continents who stay temporarily in the town, work in the archive and the library, volunteer in other NGOs for the benefit of the community of the Esperanto-town. In this project among other tasks we will organize a large intercultural festival during the Pentecost celebration, where the local ethnic culture will be shown.
Kultura Esperanto-Asocio (KEA, Budapest, Hungario)
The Cultural Esperanto Association was founded immediately after the political changes in 1990. The members of the association have cross-border contacts, and wish not only take the advantages of these but also widen them. The Association has approx. 500 members in various categories, and during its existence accumulated experience through various activities. We organized several seminars, local meetings for volunteers, activists, workshops, round tables, but for several years also organized international youth festivals with hundreds of participants of approx. 20 countries.
Nowadays we have mostly dealt with language teaching and internet technologies. We run an international news service, online courses to learn Esperanto, a virtual library of scientific and technical English books, and many others. We are concerned with the creation of cultural works, we have already published some books, launched national and international projects, give online services that are used and are useful not only for our members, but for all speakers of Esperanto either in Hungary or abroad.
Being an association dealing also with the education of the youth, we are aware of their present problems, social disadvantages and the economic situation around them. In this project we will organize a seminar and will explore the coexistence of ethnic minorities. We will also give technical support for project partners concerning ICT and help for the evaluation and preparation of final products.
